I am for my 4-years niece for Christmas and we had a blast. We have no problem with other guests, not able to find it already said, if under ceilings, etc., and we have no problem to interfere with other electronics. We just had fun. Of course, my nephew the tables on us and insisted to hide, not while we were looking for. The box advertises a T-Rex and toys, but the monkey is good. Brought them home and have not been returned byWeather, but his mother did not tell me that all the problems. We were not long enough to determine how durable, but it seems pretty stable. Poseable limbs are, so I could hang halfway in the bag of dog food (or elsewhere). Educational? Who knows.

Review Apples to Apples Party Box - The Game of Hilarious Comparisons

Apples with apples is anything but "just a game", is a new game at any time. The possibilities are truly endless in this game. The game comes with hundreds of cards with green and red. In a standard game, each player receives 7 cards to each player and start taking the judges "as they call it. The court has a green card, and players play cards that match a green card, if possible. The court chooses then the card feels and responds better to a green card. In addition tocards is completely random and fun with people, places, history, animals, etc., there are also cards with the word "mine", which makes the game very personally, to make these cards of judges to rule only on the basis experience to begin. As I said before, the game is not always the same, because there's a bit ', your own rules (the points of the game really are few other options) to play. You can "green card" look, instead of choosing red cards, players and judges have thebest dollar, not vice versa, or you can play in these differences, the players strive to be the exact opposite of a green card. This has become one of the largest family / social games of all time. Hours of fun and laughter for all!

What We Think

Fun Factor:

Durability:

(what this means)

The Good: Quick set up; inspires quick thinking and creativity; fun for whole family

The Bad: Not as fun without at least five players; subject matter targeted for mid-teens and older

In a Nutshell: Quick-paced board game requires just a minute to set up and will have everyone laughing for hours

At a Glance

Ages: 12 and up
Requires: At least four players

Smart, Award-Winning Fun
Apples to Apples has won numerous awards including “Party Game of the Year” by Games magazine and “Mensa Select” by Mensa International. And for good reason: it involves quick thinking, humor, and strategy. For teens, the game teaches them to think about how different things can be compared to one another and how analogies are formed. One of our criticisms is that although the game states that it is designed for ages 12 and older, many of the subjects are clearly for older teens.

Hilarious Comparisons and Analogies
The name of the game is a play on the phrase “apples to oranges,” and the game is about making comparisons between different things. General game play is as follows: players are dealt red cards which have a noun printed on them, and the judge (a different player in each turn) draws a green card on which an adjective is printed and places it for all players to see. Each player then chooses a red card they are holding that they think best describes the green card. The judge then decides which adjective she likes best.

The fun is in the variety of unexpected comparisons people make, sometimes apt, funny, creative, or simply absurd. For example: people might match “Awkward” with “Oil Spills,” “My First Kiss,” “Dandruff,” and “Gold Chains. ” Or: “Painful” with “High School Reunions” and “Regis Philben. ” Strategy comes into play since, because each player takes turns being the judge, you begin to pick up on the preferences of each player and tailor your choices accordingly.

Players can also try variations on the basic game play. For example, instead of choosing the most apt comparison, players might try choosing the red card that is least like the green one. These variations keep the game fresh and interesting every time.

Conversation Kick Starter
Part of the fun is in standing up for your choices. For instance, you might discuss why you think “Regis Philben” is painful, or segue into a discussion of the embarrassing situations you got into on your first day of school, or your first kiss. Apples to Apples excels as an ice breaker and promotes a good amount of social interaction, as many conversations will be kick started thanks to these little cards.

More Players, More Fun
Although the box states that the game is playable with just four players, we found that the game is a lot more fun when there are at least five or six players. This increases both the frequency of funny answers and also requires players to refine their strategy a little more. Once we got going, hours passed, and it was only the lateness of the hour that reminded some of us that we had to go home.

This Party Box set comes with more than 1,000 cards total, and will entertain for a long time. Additional expansion sets are available to further increase the variety of word combinations.

What’s in the Box
756 Red Apple Cards, 252 Green Apple Cards, card tray, quick play rules.

LEGO Agents Mobile Command Center

Review LEGO Agents Mobile Command Center

I'M KIND surprised by the bad reviews given by some of all the other buyers. MY HUSBAND built this for our son, who is only 3.5 years, and even when pre-school child can play with it every day since Christmas. Yes, it is not as durable, as so many other games (perhaps as Fisher-Price little or Tikes) … HOWEVER, IT Lego! It's Made BY BAJILLION small pieces. I JUST'd be expected to re-build and redesign as we went forward. And do not teach our son cameFrustrated about something. If something gets rid … We go with the flow and fix it, or come with our own new DESING AND IMPROVEMENT. This is the beauty ~!

And the many features; Cool FUNCTIONING projection screen, the glove compartment for many small vehicles, prison escape, computer screens COCKPIT … ALL amazing and very well designed. Thus for the imagination in other ways much more HERE … My Son is always trying to find with new adventures for the broker!

LEGO Agents Mobile Command Center Specifications
Capture the evil Dr. Inferno and keep tabs on his henchmen with Lego Agents Set 8635. Tons of secret spy technology is packed inside the Mobile Command Center truck to ensure that each mission becomes a unique, imaginative adventure. This building set contains small parts and complex instructions, so it is recommended for ages 8 to 14. And like all advanced Lego sets, it also holds the potential to keep creative adults entertained for hours.

What We Think

Fun Factor:

Durability:

(what this means)

The Good: Mobile Command Center packed with spy technology

The Bad: Hinges can come apart during transport

In a Nutshell: Fun building set inspires action-packed imaginative play

At a Glance

Ages: 8 to 14
Requires: (includes batteries)

Dr. Inferno is trapped in the jail. View larger.

With its hatches closed, the command center looks like an ordinary truck. View Larger.

Your Mission: Prevent Dr. Inferno’s Escape
In undercover mode, the mobile command center looks like a big gray and blue tractor trailer. But look closely and you’ll find hatches that open up to reveal an interior packed with the latest spy technology and top-secret information. There’s even a state-of-the-art prison cell designed to hold the evil Dr. Inferno, as well as a working mission brief projector that uses an LED light to display Inferno’s image on the wall.

Seven included Lego figures, a jet plane, and two cars make it easy to set up epic battles between the command center’s employees and Dr. Inferno’s henchmen, who have arrived to set him free. The Spy Clops figure, along with Gold Tooth, and Agents Chase, Fuse, Charge, and Trace, are uniquely detailed and ready for action. Inside the center, a tool shop, loading crane, and hidden weapons bay packed with missiles and blasters are in place to keep them busy.

Crafting the Command Center
With 20 bags containing 1,154 pieces and four books of instructions, the Mission 6: Mobile Command Center was the biggest construction project that our Lego tester had ever undertaken. In about eight hours he completed the assembly, took it for a test drive, and secured Dr. Inferno in the high-tech jail cell. Like with all Lego sets, the instructions include here provide colorful step-by-step images that make it easy for any diligent builder to create the detailed Command Center and it’s accessory vehicles. Although, when our Command Center was finished, we did discover that one sticker was missing.

This set gets great fun-factor ratings, due in large part to the opening doors that hide all the spy technology, and the fact that this mobile base is on wheels and can go anywhere. Our tester also appreciated the way most of the smaller vehicles fit neatly inside the Command Center’s compartments, the super-cool mission brief projector, and the moving crane. The detailed mini figures and the missiles hidden in the grill of the truck got the thumbs up, too. Overall, we found only one minor design flaw. When the Command Center is assembled and is pulled around by the truck cab, some of the hinges that hold the compartment doors in place come apart easily, causing play to pause while they are reattached.

Whether your child uses the Command Center by itself or as part of an existing Lego collection, it’s sure to inspire hours of fun. We also appreciate the way that Lego systems never limit imaginative play. All the cool hardware that makes up the Mobile Command Center can be used to build any structure or vehicle your child can dream up. And time has shown that building projects are a great way to inspire cooperative play between friends and siblings, too.

What’s in the Box
1,154 Lego pieces and four instruction booklets.

Ravensburger Neuschwanstein Castle 1500-Piece Puzzle

Review Ravensburger Neuschwanstein Castle 1500-Piece Puzzle

Unlike other puzzle I have reviewed recently (XI Media Design Series – Middle Ages, the pieces of this puzzle is only half the size and provide much less variation in the form of cutting. This, of course, provides a puzzle much more difficult since which is pretty easy to think that somewhere is not a piece … and then get frustrated when you showed you're looking for a nonexistent module to fit a hole.

The size of 1,500 pieces of this puzzle is impressive, though, and in 2 / 3Phase is made by people who do not help to distribute it live on my coffee table.

While the castle is located in the central section is relatively easy to complete, the leaves and trees around it are terribly difficult. I'm not saying this enigma to those who do not have a lot of patience and do not mind, a huge amount of desk space for the consumption of at least a couple of weeks of this monster. The enormous amount of time you will probably have an averageComplete person, may be worth $ 20 or so that goes for now … But once completed, I could always do the dream (see: Hasbro Liquid Puzzle glue as possible). It is so big, and requires much perseverance, they exploit.

  • Pieces have a nice matted finish which makes them easy to see and handle
  • Builds small motor skills, picture recognition, and task completion
